On Tuesday, April 17th Chris Memoli came to speak to the 11th grade about driving safety. Chris created a 45 minute presentation that sends a strong message to youths entering the driving age. At the age of 17, he was involved in a terrible car accident that altered his life forever. Chris had made some poor decisions leading up to getting into the vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt. He suffered traumatic brain injury and has undergone years of rehabilitation to learn how to use his hands and learn to walk again. Chris never regained his ability to speak. He was able to speak to the students through a voice synthesizer. Chris's story was extremely powerful and well received by our students. Chris will be back next week to present to our 12th grade.
