Bethpage High School recently held their first career fair, inviting dozens of professionals to share their career experiences with students. Representatives from industries such as healthcare, marketing, education, finance and criminal justice were in attendance.
Booths were set up in the school’s gym for each professional representative and informational sessions with smaller groups of students were conducted throughout the day. Business teachers Anthony Murray and Nancy Simpson organized the event to expand students’ knowledge on possibilities for their futures after graduation. Assistant Principal Ralph Tocco and Principal Nicholas Jantz, as well as student members of Virtual Enterprise, also assisted with set up and activities throughout the day.
“We appreciate all of our presenters, many being alumni, who came out to share their expertise with students,” said Assistant Superintendent Mike Spence. “Career Day at Bethpage High School gave our students a glimpse into possible future careers and the path needed to get there.”
