The Bethpage High School Robotics Team, Regal Eagles, FIRST Robotics Competition Team #2869 were recipients of the FIRST Robotics Competition Regional Chairman's Award.  The Chairman's Award, which is the MOST prestigious award presented by FIRST, is awarded to a team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the cornerstones of FIRST.  This is the second time that the Regal Eagles have earned the Chairman's Award (2017).  Under normal circumstances, the recipient of the Regional Chairman's Award would have had the opportunity to participate at FIRST Robotics Competition World Championships.

While their competition season was cut short due to COVID-19, the Regal Eagles had another memorable season that included participation in the Half Hollows Hills Offseason Competition, Bethpage High School's Safe Halloween, promoting STEM at Central Boulevard Elementary School's STEM Night, hosting their 3rd Annual Regal Eagle Rampage: Week 0 Event, and prototyping and building a robot to meet the challenges of FIRST Robotics Infinite Recharge.

Congratulations to the Regal Eagles on their accomplishments as well as to their mentors, Mr. Zabell and Mr. LaSpina.
