After ten years, BHS alumni, BHS students, their families and friends came together to take part in the Marc Khan Scholarship Fund Memorial 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament.

Organized by Marc's brother Michael and his wife Lauri, the tournament brought generations together from the community for a common goal: to raise funds for the Marc Khan Scholarship Fund that awards scholarships every year to five deserving graduating BHS seniors.

Activities for children, a play basketball hoop, art projects, refreshments (homemade basketball brownies and chocolate basketball lollipops donated by and plenty of good basketball kept the BHS gym lively and moving. Middle school basketball enthusiasts AJ Verde and Taleed Shariff played hard against adults and awed many of the spectators. Sophomore JV basketball player Ben Bock won the half-court shot along with Mr. John Tierney. Many BHS graduates turned out to play: former BHS girls' basketball star Katelyn Dunn, Laura Buckley, Anthony Vescova, Edwin Ponce, Monish Dhansinghani, Shawn Hervey, Costa Cyprus, Vinay Gandhi, Joe Secchio, brothers Sean and Ryan Dunn and more.

The end of the afternoon arrived with amazing play by Greg Quackenbush, Erik Lynch and Daniel Buscetta, but it wasn't enough to beat Bethpage's JV Basketball Coach Kramer, Sophomore Ben Bock and BHS Tech Expert Kevin Bende, who replaced JV player Joe Tierney, whose team took home the winning trophies. From all who contributed, attended and participated in the memorial tournament, sincere gratitude and appreciation from the Khan family in making this event a most memorable memorial.
