On Jan. 2, Bethpage High School’s Center for the Perfoming Arts hosted its second inaugural celebration for Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Bethpage High School alumni. In addition to bringing many high-profile politicians to the county executive’s hometown, the celebration invited select students to be a part of the ceremony. Superintendent of Schools Terrence Clark gave the opening address and high school senior Conor Nimmo recited the Pledge of Allegiance. The high school band performed several numbers throughout the event, as well.

“We are proud of all the Manganos, as they have embraced the civic virtues that make up this town,” Mr. Clark said in his address. “We are always proud to have Edward Mangano with us. His words leave an impression on the boys and girls in our schools, who now see this Bethpage Golden Eagle as someone to emulate and follow on the path of service to others."
