During our Ancient Egypt unit, the students learned about some of the great structures the Ancient Egyptians built including the Great Sphinx and the Pyramids at Giza. The students created their own Egyptian monuments and taught their classmates about many more famous structures that were created by the Ancient Egyptians while presenting their monuments to their classmates. Some of the monuments students created included the Step Pyramid, the Bent Pyramid, the Pyramid at Djoser, the Red Pyramid, the Abu Simbel temples, and many more. Students were extremely creative in creating their monuments using materials such as Legos, baked goods, sugar cubes, cups, popsicle sticks, marshmallows, and clay. I am extremely proud of their effort and creativity. All the students' creations came out great!
