Chosen to Represent Country at Olympiad

Bethpage High School senior Daniel Gottlieb was one of only two students in the nation selected to represent the United States at the International Philosophy Olympiad. This is the second year in a row a Bethpage student has been selected for this prestigious honor. He was chosen based upon his essay, written in French, on “The Value of Truth.” This year’s competition will be held in Lithuania May 15-18 with 42 other countries represented. In addition to participating in the Olympiad, Daniel gets to tour the area and attend philosophy lectures of his choice.
