On January 28th, a group of JFK students met with Ms. Maloney and Ms. Okita to celebrate the upcoming Super Bowl game. Students were engaged in a scavenger hunt activity where they were able to use their chromebooks to find out some trivia about the Super Bowl games. They found out facts such as the cost of the famous Super Bowl ring, the cost of a commercial, the geometric shape of a football, and how many tickets each player gets for their families. They also practiced math skills by calculating the perimeter and area of the field and solving equations to find out the cost for a NY family to attend the game in Arizona. Students had a great time!
