On February 24th and March 3rd, JFK students met with Ms. Maloney, Ms. Okita, and Ms. Pizzuto. They learned about the Native American tradition of the dreamcatcher. After hearing about how the Chippewa tribe and their legend of the Spider Woman, students created their own dreamcatchers to protect themselves from bad dreams. They used yarn, beads, and feathers to weave their own unique designs.
