On Monday, May 16th, JFK students and teachers teamed up to bake for the “Share Our Strength” Bake Sale held during the May 78th School Budget Vote. The money is used to help feed hungry American families. This year, as part of the 21st Century Junior Scholars program, students and teachers from JFK baked and packaged several delicious treats in a two hour marathon after school. This year’s creations included: Hershey’s Kiss Snowball Cookies, Confetti Bars, Chocolate Covered Marshmallows, Chocolate Crunchy Cookies, Pumpkin Chocolate-Chip Cookies, and Blue & Gold Cupcakes. The students donated their own money to buy the supplies. The sale raised $432.
