A community remembered those lost on 9-11 with a ceremony in downtown Bethpage hosted by Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano and Legislator Rose Walker. They were joined by Supervisor John Venditto. The event was emceed by Terrence Clark, Superintendent of the Bethpage Schools. The names of the 128 Town of Oyster Bay residents who were killed on that day were read by students from Bethpage High School and JFK Middle School. Thanks to everyone who participated including our own Mr. Kevin Healy who played the bagpipes. Thanks to the Bethpage 9-11 Memorial Committee who organized the event and did a great job. Thanks also to the our own first responders, the Bethpage Fire Department, for all they do and for acquiring a piece of World Trade Center steel for our town that will reside at Rotary Circle. It was an emotional event.

Those who perished are always in our thoughts.
