During the month of November the character education trait emphasized at JFK was “Responsibility.” The JFK Middle School took responsibility for the community by collecting non-perishable food items. The 7th grade Blue team demonstrated the greatest sense of responsibility as they donated the most amount of food. As a “thank you” to the students of the 7th grade Blue team a pancake breakfast was provided by the administration and character education committee. Over 1000 pounds of food was collected for the community. It was a great opportunity to teach the meaning of responsibility for others, as well as sharing and caring for members of our community.
