CCS Students Explore the Night Sky

CCS-Star-Lab.png
Third-grade students at Charles Campagne Elementary School were introduced to the beauty and wonder of the night sky as they stepped into another dimension with Star Lab. Star Lab is a portable planetarium, which is inflated with a household fan and seats up to 28 students.

While inside Star Lab, the students learned about the phases of the moon, the alignment
of the planets, the earth’s rotation, eclipses, comets, and meteors. They also viewed constellations with two different interpretations – the Greek sky and the Native American sky.

A special thank you to BOCES naturalist Brett Curlew for presenting Star Lab to the third graders at Charles Campagne.
