Penguin Parents

Penguin Parents
First-grade students in Mrs. Seewald, Ms. Schmidt and Ms. Meehan's classes at Kramer Lane served as penguin parents for the day. Each child brought in a hard boiled egg and designed a carrier which would keep their egg free of cracks. The children were responsible for carrying their egg everywhere as they went throughout the day with the hopes of not cracking it. The objective of this experiment was for the children to experience the difficult task a penguin has when trying to keep their egg safe and warm in the harshest of weather. Thankfully, most students were successful in maintaining their "crack free" eggs.
