John F. Kennedy Middle School introduced a new lunch menu featuring a panini press, which is able to produce four delicious and nutritious sandwiches. Students were given a choice of a buffalo chicken, Chicken Cordon Bleu, Monte Cristo, or Italian panini. All of the sandwiches were served with roasted potatoes, raw carrots, and a selection of fruit, milk, and juice to provide a well-balanced meal.

Whitson’s Food Service Director Tricia Reed, along with special guests Principal David Schneider and Assistant Principal Kevin Fullerton, assisted Whitson’s guest chef Harold Kavo by helping to serve the students.

New lunch selections are on the horizon at JFK, with many more options to choose from. The students will be conducting taste tests on these new menu items. Some of the latest items include sliders, wings, nachos, and fajitas. Who says school lunch has to be boring?
