On Wednesday, March 28th, students at the high school signed up through our 21st Century Scholars program to attend a presentation on the FBI with Special Agents Scott Kerns and Laura Spence. The presentation focused on the history of the FBI and the path both individuals took to become FBI agents. Special attention was given to areas of the agents' expertise. Students learned about the process to become an agent, the difficulty of training at Quantico and the policing of white collar crime. The FBI agents also spoke about why and how they conduct electronic surveillance. In addition, students listened to how the FBI combats crimes against children. After the presentation, students had many questions for the agents.
