On Wednesday, December 20, 2017, students enrolled in the Television News Production class had the opportunity to visit the News 12 Studios in Woodbury! Accompanied by Mr. Malossi and Mr. Choi, the students got a tour of the studio and got a close look at the various equipment and technology used during their broadcast. Students met meteorologist Rich Hoffman who spoke to the students about his rigorous work schedule and how each of the students can create broadcasts from their own home using their smartphones and televisions. Then, the students met senior designers in the graphics department who shared how they create the graphics used during the broadcast and the legality of using images found online. The tour ended with our guide, Leslie, sharing suggestions about a course of studies for students interested in broadcasting.  Special thanks to News 12 for hosting us this morning!
