On April23, BHS Students once again arrived at Bethany House in Roosevelt to offer pizza, an arts and crafts session and a sheet cake to the women and children guests. After everyone had their fill of the pizza, which is always a treat for them, BHS Civic students, Amanda Arnold, Lisa Coletta, Deena Hadhoud and Rebecca Massone helped the children make sparkly bookmarks to use for school. Children delighted in decorating and personalizing their own bookmarks. There were enough supplies donated for each mother to also make a bookmark for themselves as well. Finally a vanilla-mousse sheetcake with milk topped off the evening! Before leaving, children shouted the names of the students with a big "THANK YOU". Amid plenty of smiles, BHS students returned home knowing that twenty content children had a happy ending to a perfect day!
