Staff and faculty at Bethpage High School with be hosting “Gleeming for Emma,” a fundraiser to benefit a Bethpage student who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. The event will be held on Nov. 2 from 6-9 p.m. at Bethpage High School and will consist of performances by both talented students and faculty, with a DJ’d “after-party” to follow in the gymnasium. A recommended donation of at least $5 is requested in order to attend both the performance and after-party. The entire Bethpage community is invited to attend.
The fundraiser will benefit Emma Coletta, who is currently a member of the Academic Career Experience (ACE) program. She has been in and out of the hospital since the beginning of August and will be undergoing treatment throughout the year. The goal is to relieve Emma’s family of as much financial stress as possible, so that they may focus on her emotional and physical health.
