On Saturday, May 18, 2019, the John F. Kennedy Middle School Kiwanis Builders Club, along with club advisor, Madame Ciarniello, visited the Town of Oyster Bay Animal Shelter. The students were given a tour of the shelter and also had the opportunity to interact with the kittens and to also see the cats and dogs who were waiting to be adopted.

In addition, the club held a "pet" drive at John F. Kennedy Middle School, where they collected old towels (for the animals' cages), as well as dog and cat food, treats, and toys. The club members also brought home-made treats (containing apples, peanut butter, and yogurt) for the dogs.

The shelter and the animals really appreciated the club's efforts and loved the treats! Many animals are waiting to be adopted, so please give the Town of Oyster Bay Animal Shelter a visit!
