Bethpage has Talent

Bethpage High School’s Student Civic Talent Show, now in its 10th year, has once again raised $1,000 that will be donated to a local cause, in addition to gathering a large bin of food to donate to Island Harvest. The proceeds of the year’s show will benefit the Nassau County Hurricane Recovery Fund.
Students Liz Backman and Danielle Lopinto emceed the event, which included acoustic performances, bands and piano solos from many talented students. Winners of the 2013 talent show were:

• 1st Place - Olivia Bologna, Gabi Feliciano and Amanda Rich
• 2nd Place - Ryan Freese
• 3rd Place - Usman Asif
This year’s judges were DJ Rocky from WBAB radio; Jesse Kinch, a Long Island rock musician; former New York Jets running back John Nitti; BHS graduates Gina Bilardi and Claire Murphy; and special guest judge Manny Soundz, winner of the Best New Latin Pop Music Award of 2012.
