Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) was celebrated by Madame Ciarniello's French Classes on Feb. 12th. Mardi Gras is the day before Lent (a season of sacrifice and fasting), so everyone eats all of their favorite fattening foodson that day. The French students enjoyed home-made quiche, crepes with nutella, jumbalaya, French bread pizza, as well as French bread and a variety of cheeses. Of course, there were a multitude of delicious desserts.
