On May 6th, Mr. Wettengel, Mr. Michels and Ms. Vultaggio led students through the Bethpage State Park on a geocaching activity. Students located hidden containers using a GPS system based on latitude and longitude. Often, the rule is that you leave what you find, swap it, or add something. Along the way, our resident biologist, Mr. Wettengel pointed out numerous trees and plants, including the rare Pink Lady's Slipper Orchid.
