On Wednesday, April 29, students gathered in the high school courtyard for the first “Bethpage Beat Society” poetry performance night. Students performed readings of their original poetry, accompanied by Jeff Johnson on the guitar and bongos. The evening was hosted by “Beat Society” founders Rosette Cirillo and Lindsay Kinsella who also read some of their own poetic works. Thanks to Rosette and Lindsay, as well as Mrs. Yansick and Ms. Corson, for organizing this event! Thanks also to Mr. Zabell for all of his help and for delivering the introductory remarks to kick off the evening!
