Class Rules and Expectations

 

 

 

§        Sneakers must be worn at all times (no platform or slip-ons)

 

§        Athletic attire is to be worn (Khaki pants/shorts and other pants with zippers are not appropriate attire – No Thin Strap Tank Tops)

 

§        No Jewelry

 

§        If unprepared 3 or more times = failing grade

ü     1 unprepared = 10 points (highest grade you can get is a 90)

ü     2 unprepareds = 15 points (highest grade you can get is a 75)

ü     3 unprepareds =  15 points (highest grade you can get is a 60)

 

§        Make up classes are after school Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the weight room.  Every student must sign in and participate for at least 30 minutes twice to make up 1 class.

 

§        Each class is based on 5 points.  Changing for class in not enough to pass.  You will receive 1 point for being prepared.  You must participate throughout your physical education period to gain all 5 points for the day (you can lose points based on your effort, cooperation, attitude, etc.)

 

§        Students will be provided more than enough time to change back into their school day attire (6 minute bell).

 

§        You must lock all of your belongings in a locker!  If sharing, both students must know the combination.

 

§        Leave all expensive equipment, jewelry and money in your hall locker.

 

§        Stay in the gym until the bell rings.  Do not gather in the hallway.

 

§        Gym doors will be locked once class starts.  Do not open the doors for students because this will disrupt the class and/or allow them to use the gym as a “cut through” to the parking lot.

 

§        Medical packets must be completed if injured to make up missed classes and to receive credit.
