Astronomy Night 2009

The Sixth Annual Astronomy Night was another huge success! Over 700 people attended the event! Thanks to the many students, parents, staff, faculty and administrators who volunteered their time on a Friday night to assist. The event was coordinated by the District Director of Science Janice Yale along with a committee of dedicated teachers. Over 80 high school and middle school students volunteered to assist!

We wish we had a perfect evening for stargazing, but all the other workshops were fantastic! Special thanks to Dr. Kevin Manning, an astrophysicist, for his keynote speech and his workshop in the computer lab.

It was a terrific evening!
