Future Cheerleaders

The Bethpage HS Varsity Cheerleaders along with their coach, Jesica Tavolacci, held a 5 hour cheer clinic fundraiser @ JFK MIddle School on Saturday, Sept. 22 for the Bethpage PAL cheerleaders. The girls ranged in age from 6 years to 11 years old. The PAL cheerleaders were taught sideline football cheers and a halftime routine by the varsity cheerleaders. They also had a pizza lunch and received "Future Bethpage Varsity Cheerleader" tee shirts. The highlight of this clinic was that all the participating PAL cheerleaders were invited to cheer with the Varsity Cheerleaders at the 1st home football game of the season against Plainedge the next day. It was an exciting afternoon for the young cheerleaders as they performed all the cheers they had learned the day before as well as performing their "Hippy Hippy Shake" routine at halftime. All in all, the clinic was a big success. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped out.
