A Constitutional Challenge to Learn “The Preamble” in Bethpage

Bethpage School District's students studied and celebrated the parts of The United States Constitution and the creation of our country's governing bodies in obseverance of Constitution Day. “Constitution Day” is a Celebration Bill signed into law by George W. Bush in 2004 to commemorate the September 17, 1787 signing of the United States Constitution.

"The Preamble is the introduction to the Constitution which explains why this brilliant document was written. It offers incite to what the people of the United States wanted the Government to do for them,” said Mr. Kevin Fullerton, Driector of Social Studies andn Libraries who organized events in all five schools. Mr. Fullerton shared with the students. “Studying the Preamble allows us the opportunity to share in the words which laid the foundations for our great nation. It is wonderful to see such positive participation in this year's celebration of The American Constitution.” Each elementary student was presented with a patriotic pencil to fill out their worksheets & Branches of Government coloring books used for the day's lesson.
