Ellis Island

On Thursday, April 16th 70 students and 8 teachers from the JFK M.S. took an educational field trip to the Statue of Liberty National Monument and the Ellis Island Immigration Museum.  The students enjoyed first spending time on Liberty Island and then learning about the many facets of America's immigration between 1892 and 1954 at Ellis Island.  The highlight of the trip for the students was searching for their family name at the American Immigrant Wall of Honor.
