Mixing Things Up at JFK Middle School

Students at the Bethpage School District's JFK Middle School spent time getting to know their classmates better during “Mix it Up at Lunch Day,” a national effort that encourages students to break their social boundaries and make new friends.

Students at the middle school truly did mix things up as they sat across new faces rather than taking their usual lunchtime seats along familiar friends. Each table was given the assignment of writing a positive message about the experience, with the combined efforts to be displayed in one of the building's hallways.

It was an eventful and exciting day as students spoke to and learned more about peers they pass everyday in the halls of JFK Middle School.
