New Entrant Social

On September 29, 2009 the Counseling center at John F. Kennedy Middle School invited all new entrants in grades 6-8 to attend the New Entrant Social where they were treated to an afternoon of ice cream sundaes. Students participated in an exciting JFK trivia game to test their knowledge of important JFK Middle School facts, with the 6th grade new entrants blowing away the competition from the 7th and 8th graders. Students were introduced to guidance counselors; Mr. Suprenant, Ms. Tavolacci and Ms. McKenzie, Principal Ms. McCarthy, Assistant Principal Mr. Fullerton, Social Worker Ms. Tarrant and Director of Guidance Mrs. Puglisi, who all took part in the festivities. The event was a success as shown by the excitement the students demonstrated and also by the information they learned about their new school. It was a great way to start off a great year at a new school!
