The Preamble Challenge

In recognition of Constitution Day, which is held annually on September 17th, JFK students participated in a Preamble Challenge contest. Fifty five students successfully memorized and recited correctly all of the words in The Preamble to the Constitution. One student from each grade level won the contest as they recited the words correctly in the shortest amount of time

The winners of the contest were:


1. Ali Ahmadi – Grade 6 (7.02 seconds)

2. Iyana Ashby – Grade 7 (6.80 seconds)

3. John Amendola – Grade 8 (7.75 seconds)

The students were awarded certificates for their accomplishments and Gift Cards to Blockbuster. Congratulations to all of the students who participated.
