JFK is very lucky to have so many motivated and dedicated students involved in our dynamic grade 8 science research classes this year! For the first time ever, Mr. Pollatos and Ms. Basford have over 20 projects underway all of which will be showcased in the library from 9AM-4PM on Friday, January 8 as well as at our Science and Technology Open House scheduled for January 14 from 7 -8 PM in JFK’s cafeteria. The top 10 projects will be entered in the Long Island Science Congress, an island-wide competition which allows students to present their work and interact with other students who share their interest in science research. Congratulations to all out students who, with the guidance and support of Mr. Pollatos, Ms. Basford and their families, have worked so hard and honed the critical thinking skills needed to create such an outstanding array of projects!
