American Heroes Come to JFK Middle School

In celebration of Veteran's Day, Bethpage School District' s JFK Middle School teacher Monica Klein treated her students to the unique opportunity of meeting some great American Heroes. Members of the Bethpage Butehorn Brothers V.F.W. Post 4987 were delighted to accept the invitation to meet and share their wartime experiences with the students.

Having served in the United States Armed Forces during World War II, the speakers captivated their young audience with personal stories of brotherhood, cultural exchange, combat, freedom, homesickness and heroism. They also sahred some primary documents that the students reviewed with great interest!
