Puppets Speak Volumes on Literacy with Kramer Lane Kids
PHOTO CAPTION: Students at Kramer Lane Elementary School in Bethpage recently went on a ‘reading rampage' with ventriloquist Steve Petruzzella and his Petra Puppets. Petra Puppets is an unconventional puppet show featuring a creative cast of characters, fanciful illusions, and original music designed to expand students' ideas on reading and teach the fundamentals of literacy. The PTA-sponsored cultural arts program entitled “Reading Rampage,” conducted by Mr. Petruzzella (as seen here), was jam-packed with age appropriate curriculum that engaged Kramer Lane students, enhancing their awareness of language in an educational, amusing, and memorable fashion.
