Remembering Peter Siracuse
Pictures of Homecoming Weekend
Friends and family gathered this weekend to remember former BHS student Peter Siracuse (Class of 1990) who tragically died while in the World Trade Center on 9/11. Peter was remembered as a terrific athlete, talented student, dedicated friend, loving husband and doting father. The Town of Oyster Bay arranged a street naming ceremony in his honor and the event was emceed by Supervisor John Venditto. Congressman Peter King, Legislator Ed Mangano and Councilwoman Rose Walker all attended and had kind things to say about Peter and the Bethpage community. Peter's wife, Alana (a 1991 BHS Grad) was on hand with son Ryan to do the honors for the unveiling of the sign. Mr. Terry Clark remembered Peter for his great personality and his ability to think on his feet. The friends of Peter were numerous and there was a great showing. They did a great job of organizing the entire day! Thanks to them and to Peter's family for sharing it with us. A plaque with Peter's likeness will now hang in Bethpage High School. We will never forget.
