Members of the Marine Science Club along with Bethpage High School and John F. Kennedy Middle School students set sail for a picturesque day on the water. The sailboat Christeen (on the national register of historic landmarks) harnessed the wind and sliced through the harbor. For a few of the students, it was their first time on a boat. Participating students had the opportunity to hoist the sails and work as a team. It was a perfect way to end the summer. Special thanks to Mr. Portuese for facilitating and organizing this creative opportunity for the students.
