The JFK Middle School cafeteria was transformed into a vibrant hub of discovery and innovation on the afternoon of June 10, as students proudly showcased their work during the school’s annual Science Fair.

Held after school, the event featured rows of tables filled with colorful trifold display boards, each representing weeks of student research, experimentation and analysis. From studies on plant growth under different light conditions to experiments exploring chemical reactions, students covered a wide array of scientific topics, demonstrating curiosity, creativity and a strong grasp of the scientific method.

Attendees - including families, friends and faculty - were invited to visit each display, where students enthusiastically explained their hypotheses, detailed their experimental processes and shared their findings. Many of the projects featured hands-on components or visuals that engaged visitors and sparked thoughtful questions and conversations.

The fair celebrated not only scientific achievement, but also the importance of inquiry and perseverance in the learning process. With such a strong showing of talent and passion, there’s no doubt that the future of science is bright at JFK Middle School.

We can’t wait to see where these budding scientists go next!
