BHS students had a great experience at the 2025 L.I. Manufacturing Day, which was held at the Cradle of Aviation. Over 25 Industries from Long Island were there discussing various internship and job opportunities available for our students.
What a whirlwind of a weekend as Bethpage celebrated Safe Halloween on the Field Friday night followed by our Homecoming Parade and big win by BHS Football and concluded with induction of our our Class of 2025 BHS Hall of Fame members. It's great to be a Golden Eagle.
Professor David Auslander (Mechanical Engineering, University of California at Berkely) held a great talk for our BHS students! He talked about engineering topics such as feedback control and provided advice for aspiring engineering students. Professor Auslander (BHS class of 1957) will be inducted into the 2025 Bethpage Hall of Fame later today.

The Regal Eagles were invited to participate in Optimum's 2025 Technology Vendor Expo. The participating students provided robot demonstrations, networked with other vendors in attendance, and got an exclusive tour of News 12's Studios. We appreciate Optimum's continued support of robotics/STEM as well as our students!

Our 10th grade students are diving into poetry pairings with their summer reading selections! Through this work, they are exploring the richness of imagery and uncovering deeper thematic connections across texts. A special thank you to Ms. Bertolotti and Ms. Brosnan for designing such meaningful learning experiences.

The Regal Eagles had the opportunity to work with the students attending Bethpage Schools Extended School Year Program. They assisted students with various builds and programming them using the Lego Spike Prime Kits.
The Regal Eagles welcomed Optimum executives, Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor Saladino, & reps from Senator Rhoads office to their lab. The students provided a presentation about FIRST Robotics & robot demo. Thank you to Optimum & our elected officials for their continued support!
BHS students led a 21st Century Activity where JFK Middle School students experienced how to extract DNA from strawberries.
AP Physics 2 students were challenged to design boats out of cardboard and masking tape to compete in the First Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta! Students had to calculate the maximum buoyant force exerted on their boats based on the predicted volume. Each group was required to have at least one student sit and paddle the boat across the pool.
Math students dove into the fascinating world of actuarial science and risk management. They learned how math is used to analyze data, assess risk, and make smart decisions in finance, insurance, and beyond!
In an ultra-dramatic, come-from-behind fashion, the Bethpage Bytes rallied to win the 2025 Code Conquest Hackathon! This marks the team's second win in this challenging event in the last three years! Congratulations to the students, Mr. Attard, and Mr. LaSpina!

Congratulations to Partap Sidhu, who placed 4th at the International Science and Engineering Fair in the category of Robotics and Intelligent Machines! Partap was also the recipient of the NC State College of Engineering Special Award, inviting him to attend a summer program at NC State to work alongside other aspiring engineers!
Partap Sidhu is in the final preparation stages for the International Science and Engineering Fair! Over 2000 students from around the world will share their studies and network with professionals and peers in STEM fields.
