2024-25 NASTAR Award Ceremony-01

On Thursday, June 12, 2025, Nassau BOCES held its Seventh Annual NASTAR Awards ceremony at the Hofstra University Club to recognize all of the awards receipients across Nassau County's school districts. A NASTAR is deemed as a "technology evangelist or innovator who uses these tools to drive teaching, learning, and instructional outcomes."

Mrs. Stacy Bianco, ENL Educator at Charles Campagne Elementary School was recognized as Bethpage Schools NASTAR Award receipient for the 2024-25 school year. Mrs. Bianco's nomination read:

"Mrs.Bianco exemplifies innovation and creativity in her instructional approach, consistently exploring new technologies to meet the diverse needs of her students and keep them actively engaged in learning. As a member of the district's Magic School AI Pilot Team, Mrs. Bianco played a key role in the successful rollout of the program, using it to differentiate instruction in meaningful ways. Her ability to integrate technology purposefully into her classroom sets her apart, whether she’s using Pixton to help students create comic strip stories, Kahoot for interactive assessments, or Vocaroo to incorporate voice into student projects, she brings learning to life in exciting and accessible ways. Mrs. Bianco's adaptability, forward-thinking mindset, and commitment to meeting her students where they are make her an invaluable member of our team. Her passion for instructional innovation is inspiring, and she truly represents the spirit of the NASTAR Award."
