The Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind spokesdog Colette, accompanied by Canine Care Manager Taylor Kelly, visited Bethpage High School as part of the 21st Century Animal Welfare Project event series.
Participating students learned about dog training, guide dogs, and support dogs for military veterans. Colette interacted with the students, showcasing her well-trained behaviors. Ms. Kelly holds a Master’s Degree in Animal Behavior and Conservation and has worked with many different species, from rescue dogs to retired circus elephants in sanctuary care!
