Central Boulevard Elementary School embraced the Thanksgiving spirit this November with a special Thoughtful Thursday project that will bring smiles to the community. Students decorated grocery bags from King Kullen with uplifting messages and colorful illustrations that will brighten shoppers' days at the Stewart Avenue King Kullen in Bethpage.
Messages like Chase Your Dreams, Be Yourself, Stay Happy, and Make Something Good! adorned the bags, reflecting the students' creativity and kindness. Each bag serves as a small reminder to customers that someone in their community is thinking of them.
Thoughtful Thursdays are a monthly initiative at Central Boulevard where students participate in different acts of kindness throughout the year. Past projects have included decorating placemats for residents of senior centers and creating handmade adoption certificates to be donated to local animal rescue centers. This heartwarming program continues to bring students together in the spirit of compassion and community service, making a meaningful difference in the lives of their neighbors.
Through these monthly projects, Central Boulevard students learn that even small gestures can have a big impact on their community.
