Bethpage High School Forensics Classes Visit Nassau County Police Department Academy

Bethpage High School's Forensic Science students visited the Nassau County Police Academy. They were treated to a glimpse of the amazing surveillance system used by the Nassau County Police Department (NCPD) and a tour of the academy. The canine statue was painted by a former chairperson of the Bethpage High School's Art Department, Linda Candella. This was followed by some incredible up-close experiences. The NCPD helicopter flew in and met our students in an open field. They also met a team from the Canine Unit as well as members of the Mounted Patrol Unit. The trip ended with an opportunity to explore the newly created "typical Nassau County town" used for real life training exercises.
