Students at Central Boulevard School celebrated Thoughtful Thursday on Jan. 15 by crafting heartfelt Valentine's Day cards for local veterans.
Throughout the day, the classrooms were filled with creativity as students designed cards decorated with patriotic themes, hearts, and messages of gratitude. The handmade valentines will be distributed to veterans at local facilities in time for Valentine's Day.
Thoughtful Thursday is part of Central Boulevard School's ongoing commitment to fostering empathy, gratitude and community connection among students. Each month, the initiative focuses on a different way students can make a positive impact, from supporting local organizations to recognizing community helpers.
The veterans who receive these heartfelt messages will undoubtedly feel the warmth and appreciation from Bethpage's youngest community members.
