On Jan. 8, 35 middle schoolers in grades 6 through 8 participated in the JFK Spelling Bee. JFK students and proud parents of the contestants attended the intense competition, cheering on each speller. After 14 rounds and many challenging words, Aditi Sujin took the win, followed by Mia MacDugall as the second place runner-up. Aditi will advance to the regional Spelling Bee as a representative of JFK, competing with fellow Long Island middle school spellers. Congratulations to all participants!
