Bethpage High School Crime Scene Investigation Students win CSI Competition in Plainedge

On Friday, April 17, 2026, a team of eight Forensic Science students from Bethpage High School competed in the annual CSI Competition, held at the Brian Moore Athletic Facility in Plainedge.

The crime scene, set in the fictitious town of Coyote Creek, took place in Colorado during the late 1800's. Participating students put all they learned to the test in areas of: crime scene processing, fingerprinting, DNA, computer forensics, blood typing, handwriting, shoe print casting, interrogations, and more.

The team of wild west sleuths not came in First Place and won awards in the categories of Best Fingerprint Rolling, Shoe Print Impression, Interrogation, and Leadership.
