Bethpage has reason to celebrate! Three students from JFK have been selected for highly competitive, audition-based scholarships, which will take them to some of the region's most distinguished arts programs this summer.
Christopher Cutrone and Emilia Marano have been named recipients of the Joel Foundation Scholarship to attend the Long Island High School for the Arts Summer Arts Academy. Only 15 students from Nassau and Suffolk Counties receive this full scholarship each year, making the recognition even more remarkable. Christopher will participate in the Musical Theatre Production program, joining some of the region's most talented young performers.
Also earning recognition is fellow JFK Middle School student Akansha Raghavan, who has been selected as a recipient of the Music Merit Scholarship at Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts. The Music Merit Scholarship is an audition-based program that recognizes exceptional instrumentalists, vocalists, and composers across Long Island and New York City. It is among the most competitive honors a young musician in the area can receive.
Congratulations to Christopher, Emilia, and Akansha! The entire Bethpage community is proud of you and can't wait to see everything you accomplish this summer and beyond.
