The 2026-27 school year has officially begun with Bethpage’s newest teachers reporting for duty. They were warmly welcomed to the district at a breakfast in the Bethpage High School courtyard before their first full day.

The morning began with greetings from Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Kevin Fullerton and Superintendent of Schools David Schneider, followed by warm words from Board of Education President John Lonardo, members of the Superintendent’s cabinet and each district department head.

Speakers emphasized what makes Bethpage unique: a place where careers can flourish, where colleagues become lifelong friends, and where the community feels like family.

After the welcome reception, the new educators spent a full day in orientation, learning the ropes and getting their first glimpse of the collaborative culture that defines Bethpage.

On behalf of the entire Bethpage community, we extend our warmest welcome to these teachers as they begin their journey with us.
