Bethpage High School hosted its 13th annual Research Symposium on June 6th! The special event was open to students and families throughout the Bethpage Union Free School District and shined a positive light on all the science achievements that are taking place throughout the district.

Fifth graders from Kramer Lane Elementary School learned how to navigate directions through Nassau BOCES Outdoor and Environmental Education’s compass skills workshop! They learned how to use a compass and how to calculate distance through pacing.





Bethpage High School valedictorian Stephanie Pilnacek and salutatorian Caio DaSilva were celebrated for their academic achievements during the Nassau County Council of School Superintendents’ Celebrating Excellence Breakfast on June 2, 2023!

Seniors Caio DaSilva and Stephanie Pilnacek are not only at the top of their class. They are also a power couple! Stephanie was recently named valedictorian and Caio was named salutatorian of Bethpage High School. Congratulations to both students on this outstanding achievement!

Last week, Bethpage High School students in grades 10-12 explored possible career paths during the school’s Career Fair. This was the second year of the fair which featured more than 45 professionals from a variety of different fields. Thank you to all those who participated!





BHS seniors Erin O’Boyle and Christina Palmeri were named winners in the New York State Science Honor Society Scholarship Program! Christina was named a third prize winner, resulting in a $250 award and Erin earned honorable mention, resulting in a $100 award. Congratulations!

Students, families, and district faculty gather to celebrate the fine accomplishments of the Class of 2023 at the Senior Awards Ceremony. Congratulations to all of the award recipients!





Third graders from Charles Campagne Elementary School recently participated in a special third grade celebration filled with fun activities with loved ones! Each class rotated to three stations around the school building. This included a craft station in the school’s multi-purpose room, a slime workshop in a classroom and outdoor games behind the school.





Sixth and seventh graders from John F. Kennedy Middle School recently received a special visit from Tom Murphy and Rick Yarosh of Sweethearts and Heroes. Sweethearts and Heroes is an organization that visits schools to speak about the impact of hopelessness and bullying and aims to build empathy and compassion among people. Their powerful presentation emphasized the importance of being compassionate, building positive social connections and fostering emotional resilience.





Last week, Central Boulevard students celebrated Thoughtful Thursday with a school-wide service project in honor of Leukemia Awareness. They created a paper chain link with positive words and drawings which will be displayed at the school's Relay for Life tent next month!
