Congratulations to John F. Kennedy Middle School for their victory in the district's Annual Autism Awareness Dodgeball Tournament! They went undefeated in the double elimination tournament. The event raised $4,362 which will be donated to the district's ESY program!

Bethpage sophomore Anderson Maziero recently took home the second place Best Essay Award in Stony Brook University’s 19th annual Japan Center Essay Competition! He was recognized for his essay submission, “The Sound of Drums Behind a Stage.” The essay competition challenged students to think outside the box and find a connection to Japanese culture in their life. Championship Driven! A day after earning the right to participate at FIRST Robotics Competition World Championships for the eighth straight year, the Regal Eagles are back at it to refine their robot and make the necessary modifications.

At this week's Board of Education meeting, Director of Mathematics John Titolo highlighted the great math programs and initiatives taking place in the district. In addition, Allison Robb, elementary math specialist at Central Boulevard Elementary School and advisor of the school’s Math Olympiad team, spoke about the Math Olympiad program with five of its members. These students demonstrated their problem-solving skills during the meeting by playing one of their favorite mental math games with members of the board of education! #WeAreBethpage

Twenty-eight student artists in grades 2-12 from the Bethpage Union Free School District had their artwork featured in the 20th annual Nassau All-County Art Exhibition at W.T. Clarke High School on March 10! The event was sponsored by the Art Supervisors Association and featured more than 1,300 pieces of artwork from Nassau County students in grades K-12. #WeAreBethpage





Matthew Schneider, a senior from Bethpage High School and a talented jazz guitarist, performed at the 51st annual Joseph R. Sugar NYSSMA Day in Albany on March 4.
Matthew served as a member of the NYSSMA All-State Instrumental Jazz Ensemble. The ensemble performed both a public concert at the South Gallery Concourse of the Empire State Plaza and at a reception for State legislators, members of their staff, parents and NYSSMA members. The Sixth Annual Regal Eagle Rampage was a success! Twenty four teams from across the tri-state area converged at Bethpage High School to fine tune and calibrate their robots before the upcoming regional events.
